Resolve sound problems in MYTVOnline / MYTVOnline2 (no sound, low volume, etc.)
đ Solve sound problems (no sound, low volume, variations, etc.)
If you have sound problems in MYTVOnline / MYTVOnline2 (no sound, volume too low, volume goes up/down by itself, etc.), follow the steps below carefully.
â
đ¨ IMPORTANT: First of all, check that your TV or audio system has not no sound problems with other devices (console, TV box, DVD player, etc.). If the sound is already problematic elsewhere, the problem is not with your Formuler.
â
đ Models concerned
- â All models Formulate using MYTVOnline / MYTVOnline2
â
đ 1. Check connections and wiring
- Check your HDMI cable and the connections between the Formuler box and TV.
- Try it with a other HDMI cable and/or a other HDMI port from your TV.
- Make sure that the plugs are firmly seated in their ports (no false contact).
- If you are using an external audio system (soundbar, AV amplifier, etc.) between the box and TV, check that :
- The correct source has been selected (HDMI 1, HDMI ARC, Optical, etc.).
- The external system's audio settings are correctly configured.
â
đ˛ 2. Use the ÂŤAudio OptimizerÂť application (MYTVOnline - some channels)
If the sound problem only occurs on certain channels in MYTVOnline / MYTVOnline2 (sound missing on some channels, incompatible audio format, etc.), use the dedicated application.
- From the Formulate home screen, go to HOME > MARKET.
- Find and install the application ÂŤAudio OptimizerÂť.
- Launch application only once to apply audio optimization.
- Restart the Formuler box completely.
- Go back to a channel that had no sound and check that the audio now works.
â
đď¸ 3. Check audio track in MYTVOnline
The wrong audio track may be selected, or a muted track may be active.
- Go to the problem channel.
- Press the RED remote control to open the Audio track options.
- Test the different audio tracks available (for example : Stereo, AC3, different languages, etc.).
- On MYTVOnline2 models, you can also :
- Press the INFO then look at the actions/settings at the bottom of the info bar to access the audio options.
â
đş 4. Check TV / audio system audio settings
- Activate the ÂŤAuto VolumeÂť (or equivalent) on your TV if available.
- If you notice fluctuations in volume (sound suddenly rising or falling), disable this option and test again.
- Check other TV sound settings :
- Sound mode (Cinema, Standard, Music, etc.).
- Balance, equalizer, voice enhancement, virtual surround, etc.
- If you're using a soundbar or AV amplifier, adjust the audio settings on this system too (input mode, audio decoding, master volume, channel volume, etc.).
- Make sure that the :
- TV not at minimum or muted.
- From the Formuler box is sufficiently high (test by increasing the volume with the Formuler remote control).
â
đĄ 5. Special case: RAW audio output (bitstream)
If your audio device (soundbar, AV amplifier, etc.) decodes the sound itself (HDMI output on the box set to RAW / Bitstream) :
- Volume control must be done mainly on your audio system (soundbar or amp remote control), not on the TV.
- Make sure the box's audio output is compatible with your system (PCM, RAW, Pass-through, etc.-test different options if necessary).
â
𧊠6. If the problem persists
- Perform a factory reset (Factory Reset) on your Formuler box, then reconfigure your service and test the sound again.
